What to Expect in Rehab at The Recovery Village Palm Beach at Baptist

Starting treatment at The Recovery Village at Baptist Health can change your life forever. Here’s what to expect when you enter our facility.

Checking In to Inpatient Rehab in Palm Beach

When you contact us, we schedule admission times to ensure that each person receives the undivided attention of our dedicated care team upon arrival. Please note that arriving late may result in a wait time to accommodate the needs of others.

Each resident must consent to a search of their person and belongings upon arrival to ensure the safety and sobriety of all patients. During this search, staff members will collect any items not permitted during treatment or exceeding two pieces of luggage, which must be picked up by a loved one. Additional random searches may be conducted throughout your time at The Recovery Village at Baptist Health.

COVID-19 Notice

The Recovery Village at Baptist Health is taking proactive steps to ensure the health and safety of all patients, employees and the communities we serve. We are following the latest CDC guidelines for controlling the spread of COVID-19, including testing, face masks and enhanced sanitation protocols.

Treatment at The Recovery Village at Baptist Health

At The Recovery Village at Baptist Health, patients embark on a treatment program tailored to their specific needs. As they make progress through their recovery journey, they have the opportunity to transition to lower care levels. Treatment typically starts with a medical detox, followed by inpatient treatment at our Palm Beach facility or intensive outpatient care at our Miami office.

How Long You’ll Stay

The length of your stay can vary based on your program, customized treatment plan, recovery progress, and insurance coverage. In general, clients at our Palm Beach facility may expect:

  • Medical detox for 7–11 days
  • Inpatient care, including medical detox for 14–25 days
  • Total stay including PHP and IOP care is 45–60 days

Patients may transition to outpatient care at our Miami location following an IOP stay at Palm Beach. Outpatient care can last as long as the patient likes, but most clients find value in regular appointments for 1–3+ months.

Clients with milder addictions may start in intensive outpatient care at our Miami location. With fewer hours per week than inpatient care, IOP programming at Miami may take longer, or about 2–3 months.

Will I be forced to complete treatment?

We always emphasize the importance of completing the full treatment plan to minimize the risk of relapse and overdose. Nonetheless, we respect each patient’s autonomy. Patients have the right to leave rehab at any time, even if it goes against medical advice, provided that they do not pose a threat to themselves or others.

If you are beginning your rehab journey at our Miami outpatient office, you can expect to receive a series of emails from us. The first email will invite you to download Nobu, our online mental wellness app, and guide you through the process of creating your account. The third email will be a confirmation of your upcoming in-person appointment(s).

To ensure a smooth and timely check-in process, please arrive at the facility 15 minutes before each scheduled appointment. Bring a valid ID, your insurance card, and any relevant medical records. This will allow us to efficiently check you in, verify necessary details, and ensure you are prepared for your session to begin on time.

Insurance and Your Obligation During Treatment

Most health insurance plans require you to pay out-of-pocket costs to access your healthcare benefits (collectively known as the “Patient Responsibility”).
Your individual Patient Responsibility will differ.

An intake coordinator will discuss your Patient Responsibility with you when you’re admitted or as soon as you are medically stable. They will explain the deductible due during admission and that the co-insurance amount and out-of-pocket cost will be billed and paid for once services are complete. Onsite financial counselors will review your financial responsibility again during treatment with case managers who can help you navigate FMLA and short-term disability.

You are responsible for checking with your insurance provider before admittance at The Recovery Village at Baptist Health to ensure you understand your benefits plan. Please note your insurance policy may not be a “participating provider” with The Recovery Village at Baptist Health. You are responsible for all non-covered and out-of-pocket costs related to your treatment stay.

Your Privacy Is Important to Us

The Recovery Village at Baptist Health values and upholds your right to privacy. Your confidentiality during treatment is important.

Upon your arrival, you will have the opportunity to complete the required information releases. These releases enable our staff discuss your care with necessary parties, like loved ones. Please be assured that no information will be shared with any party without your prior written consent, as we strictly adhere to all guidelines and requirements outlined by HIPAA.
